Light the Way
a King's Church Mission
Find out more about where we've been and what we did.
Our second trip to Uganda, working with YWAM Arua. A young team went out to be used by God.
"This was a unique mission for Light the Way as it was mainly a medical outreach led by Doctors and Nurses on the team."
"As we prayed tears started falling gently and quietly from her eyes, but they were not broken or desperate tears, they were tears of letting go of the pain she had held onto for so long"
"It has been a truly exciting trip and we thank God for the privilege of seeing Him work through us as a team to bring encouragement and hope to the people we met."
"There was that lovely 'let there be light!' moment when having connected everything correctly, the switch was thrown and the lights came on. Hallelujah! Mission accomplished."
"Throughout the whole mission it was clear that the people of Ghana are hungry for a touch from The King, they were open, expectant and ready for what God wants to do in the nation of Ghana."
"I've found that Christians from anywhere in the world can easily worship even if they don't know the words of each other's songs!"
"Thursday and Friday were committed to fixing solar panels and lighting to the girl’s home at Hauraruni. This communal home provides love and security for teenage girls who have been abandoned, orphaned or in need of care due to pregnancy."
"The team were quite taken aback by the extreme levels of poverty we saw throughout the tour. It was quite a shock despite knowing beforehand of some of the issues we were likely to face."
"I will never forget standing on the orphanage roof as the children led worship, dancing and singing praises to Jesus, loud and clear into the surrounding Hindu community."
